Stall Recovery Basics
Stalls are a dramatic loss of lift due to an excessive angle of attack. With plenty of altitude, a stall recovery is easy - simply lower the nose to reduce the angle of attack. Private pilots, however, must know how to recover from a stall with a minimal loss of altitude. This lesson explains the mechanics of stall recoveries.
Your mastery of stall recoveries will take place in the airplane with your flight instructor. He or she will be quite impressed when you come to your lesson with these fundamental concepts already learned.
